Flooding

On July 1, the Texas Water Development Board will invite public comment on a draft State Flood Assessment – a comprehensive report about flood risks, mitigation and planning in Texas that will be finalized by December and submitted to the Legislature.

Coalition members are encouraged to submit comments on the Flood Assessment related to the Colorado River, which has been hit by 100-year floods for the past three years straight (?). Public inpute will be accepted through July 30.

The report will be considered by lawmakers during the 2019 Legislative Session as they deliberate whether to fund flood activities.
